Slow  Holidays in the beautiful Sintra Natural Park, Portugal for  vegetarians/vegans/wholistic foodies!!!

28/12/2017

We praised the beautiful Sintra Natural Park in past  postings.  What is  new  to our  quaint and lovely village, Almoçageme, which is  a bit off the beaten track, above the cliffs leading down to the wonderful Adraga beach, are 3 vegetarian/vegan restaurants.  There is amazing Flores do Cabo, organic cafe and events center/gallery, which is  the go to place for gourmets and those appreciating  quality, made only with organic ingredients.  The  "ambiance" is as exceptional as  are the meals, the chefs and the hosts!!!.   The Flores do Cabo Pizza is made with spelt sourdough, baked in a wood-fired oven....delicious, crispy, thin crust, topped with  a bounty of seasonal veggies.

There are also Tinkuy and Tuna restaurants.  More info on www.happycow.com
And  most of  the other small, family-run estaurants in  our village have vegan/vegetarian options on their menus.

The village  market stocks an amazing  variety of vegetarian/vegan/organic supplies including fresh local vegies and fruits.

So many of our vegan/vegetarian guests are thrilled because it is so easy to be  a vegan/vegetarian here.  And, of course, because the region is soo beautiful!!!!  And www.colinaflora.com is still  the only vegen/vegetarian/organic  B&B.
